Master weaver Alberto Ruiz replicates the legendary ojo de Dios (eye of God) glyph for the design of this tote bag. Having dyed the wool threads with natural pigments in orange, yellow and blue, he weaves the bag's exterior on a traditional pedal loom and lines it with beige cotton canvas. Features an internal pocket, braided straps, and a zipper closure. The eye of God is present in many cultures throughout the American continent, and symbolizes the four types of energy believed to be housed in the human body: the energy of the quetzal bird above the bellybutton, and below is the energy of the serpent.
